Jim

President and Chief Technology Officer: Jim Scalise

Jim has been involved in the computer technology field since 1979 as a systems engineer for several Fortune 500 computer companies. He has provided computer and networking solutions and support to major fortune 500 corporations as well as state & local governments.

In June of 2001, Jim founded the StarTech Group, Inc. to provide needed Information Technology (IT) service and support to small and medium size businesses. These businesses typically have little or no expertise to help manage and maintain their business networks and computers.

Jim holds the following certifications:

  • Cisco Network Administrator Certification (CCNA)

Mike Wagoner

Network Engineer: Mike Wagoner

Mike is an Information Technology Leader with 20+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and enterprise management support. Proven project leader and consistently recognized for outstanding client customer support by delivering medium - large scale projects within budget and required timeframes.

Proficient skills in network / client support enterprise environments. Application deployments and managed implementations for Windows platform environments with a oven customer-client-driven track record. Leads and maintains high level of performance in multiple projects and deliverables for senior management. Identifies and participates in enterprise solutions in the project management space that enhances the client user experience while focusing on the long term strategic directions of the enterprise technology organization. Prior to joining StarTech, Mike has spent the past 12 years with Merrill Lynch - Bank of America.

Scott Roberts

Systems Engineer: Scott Roberts

Scott has over 16 years in the computer industry and is responsible for maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. He performs data backups and disaster recovery operations. Scott can design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. He monitors network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.

Scott also develops training materials and procedures, trains users in the proper use of hardware or software. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolves hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
